VTA PHASE I – BERRYESSA EXTENSION SAN JOSE CA

Type of System: Communications System

Scope of work: The Berryessa Extension is the 10-mile, two station, first phase of BART Silicon Valley. DAI had the opportunity to design, install, configure and commission the Fiber optic ring powered by CIENA provider grade Carrier Ethernet hardware and supported by Cisco level 3 switches with a complex method of service routing for increased traffic and security. DAI supplied the CCTV (supported by eXaqVision software), Access Control, PA and SCADA systems for the 2 stations that had each parking garages, buss stations and parking lot. These systems were subneted and interfaced with the operations and control center through the CWDM ring system powered by the CIENA infrastructure. DAI also supported the integration of TVM and Clipper Card Systems on the project.
